Healthy Movies! | Minnesota School of Business Blog

The other night I watched the 2011 documentary Forks over Knives and thought it was one of the best movies I?ve seen in a long time. The movie addresses health issues like cancer and cardiovascular disease and the research of T. Colin Campbell; author of one of my favorite books, The China Study. In this remarkable book, scientists found that if they diminished the amount of animal products in the diet to less than 5%, cancerous tumor growths were brought to a halt. Once animal products comprised over 20% of a diet, the incidence of cancer increased dramatically.

Imagine if we could control cancer by adhering to a mostly plant-based diet. What could that do for the health and?well-being of our country? What could it mean for our health care system?

If you have Netflix, you can watch this movie instantly. Share other food- and health-related movies you?ve enjoyed. Here are a few if you are looking for something to watch this weekend!
